How To Be Positive At Work – List of Positive Affirmations

In this blog, I am going to share 7 types of affirmations you can use to think more positively, be more productive, and solve problems at work and in life.

A study done by Carnegie Mellon University and UCLA found that “Self-affirmation improved problem-solving performance in underperforming, chronically stressed individuals.” Speaking these positive affirmations over yourself every morning, evening, or midday will not only make you a more positive person that others want to be around, it will also give you the ability to perform at a higher level. Both of these factors will increase your influence with those around you, which is what this blog is all about. 

One thing I have picked up from highly influential people is that they know how to be positive at work. They may not have a list of positive affirmations to say every day, but they have a routine of self-talk that accomplishes the same thing.  At the end of this post you will find a digital download where everything I mention today is in a .pdf that you can use to shift your thinking and be more positive.  The goal of this list of morning affirmations is to train your mind to think more positively so that it becomes a part of a powerful morning routine for you.  

Being positive is a massive key to increasing your influence.  Why do you care about increasing your influence? I like to say success is what everyone wants, but influence is what everyone needs. If you increase your influence you will realize your dreams. Whether you are trying to communicate with someone and you want your opinion to matter, if you are in sales and want a client to take you seriously, or if you have a big goal that requires the help of others -- all of these can be accomplished by increasing your influence.

  1. Your Value – You have tremendous value as a person and you need to remind yourself of that daily. You are one of a kind, you are intelligent and competent. Your value plays a big part in your confidence and your ability to influence others. Before you can sell yourself to anyone else, you have to sell yourself to yourself.

 

  1. Your Potential – If you are going to reach your full potential, you have got to believe it is worth giving your life for. Whatever you do on a daily basis is literally what you are exchanging your life for. You may as well move toward your potential every day because the time is going to pass either way.

 

  1. Your Focus – This was a big area for me because I often felt unfocused. I had to affirm my focus and train my subconscious mind to think, act and behave like a focused person. You have to say it to yourself until you begin to act in accordance with it.

 

  1. Your Courage – Everything you want in life is outside of your comfort zone. The sooner you accept that truth, the sooner you can begin to achieve your dreams. Affirm your courage and you will begin to build it.

 

  1. Your Future – This is similar to potential but slightly different in that it is one step removed from you and your potential. Your potential is something to be discovered, and your future is something to be created.

 

  1. Your Discipline – Like focus, this is an affirmation that I rely on heavily in the area of health. I want to be 90 years old and still playing with my grandkids or great-grandkids. In order to do that I need to be disciplined in my diet and exercise now.

 

  1. Your Virtue – Too often we get down on ourselves and fail to realize the virtue within us. If we affirm that virtue and speak to those things within us that are not yet manifesting, they will soon become visible in our lives.
